The record
- It starts on Monday, October 26, 2026. The first milestone is 320 lb; the goal is 200 lb. There is no finish date. A milestone is marked on the first reading at or below it; what counts as reaching the final goal (one reading or a sustained average) is agreed by amendment before it matters.
- The testing week before Day 1 is practice. It never counts, and it is cleared before Day 1.
Every day
- A weigh-in by 8:00 AM Eastern on a connected Withings scale. The weight and the time it was measured come from the scale's own sync. The weigh-in is marked on time, late or missed on its own line; it never changes the day's status.
- A daily inspection by 10:00 PM Eastern: five photographs (the wait position, feet together, then front, right side, back and left side in the inspection position) and a short video, directed by the app's voice. I don't speak. The same spot, the same camera position, the same plain black athletic suit.
- A Fitbit worn at least 23 hours a day. The wear time is published.
On time and missed
- On time: all five photographs and the video filed before 10:00 PM.
- Missed: not filed by 10:00 PM. Nothing can be filed after that. A missed day stays missed.
- Excused: an exception my accountability partner approved (illness, a medical reason, travel, an emergency). It covers one requirement (the inspection, the weigh-in or the Fitbit), is asked for before that requirement's deadline (the Fitbit's, before the day begins), and no more than two are asked for in a month. The decision and its time are recorded; the reason stays private.
Corrective sessions
- A missed inspection means a 30-minute corrective session, due within 24 hours. A late or missed weigh-in means 15 minutes, due by 11:59 PM that day. A day the Fitbit was worn under 23 hours, or not synced by noon the next day, means 15 minutes, assigned at noon the next day and due 24 hours later.
- Never more than 30 minutes at a time, and never more than 60 minutes assigned for one record day. Time already owed stays owed separately; being overdue adds nothing. Never for an excused day.
- It is assigned automatically, at the deadline itself, with no grace period, and however late a miss comes to light. My accountability partner can reduce it or excuse it on verification; I can't.
- Each is a timed corrective session, served within 24 hours, recorded and verified. The site times each session itself, from when it begins to when it ends; my accountability partner verifies it from the recording, and its fingerprint is published on the violation's page. A banner shows on every page until it is served and verified. If it isn't served in time, it is marked overdue.
- I may stop at once for any health or safety reason. The time served counts; my accountability partner decides the rest.
Health comes first
- Nothing in the agreement may require fasting, skipped meals, a calorie target or exercise. Those are mine and my doctor's.
- Losing weight too fast, or any health concern, means a check with me and, if needed, my doctor: never praise, never a penalty.
- I may stop any inspection at once for my safety or health; it is excused.
What is public, and what never is
- Public: my name, the city I live in (Savannah, Georgia), each day's weight and the time it was measured, the photographs, the video, the Fitbit's wear time, steps and sleep, each day's status, every correction, and corrective sessions with when each was served and verified. The session recordings are not public: my accountability partner sees them.
- Never public: my address or anything that shows where I live, my workplace, my location, my money, anyone else's name or face, and the reasons for exceptions.
Corrections
- A mistake is corrected openly, with its time and what changed. Original photographs and videos are never replaced.
- My accountability partner may withhold one item for privacy or safety; the day says so.
My accountability partner
- Runs this site and the accounts behind it, reviews every day, and decides exceptions. My accountability partner is not named here.
- My accountability partner administers publication. I can ask for corrections; every change is shown with its time.
Changes and ending
- The agreement is signed by both of us. Changes are agreed by both; my accountability partner can make something easier at once. When a change affects what you see here, this page changes too, with the date.
- I may end the record at any time. If I do, the site says when, and that it ended at my request. Everything already published stays online for at least 12 months.
