Day 81 open violationEdition 2 in effect since October 3, 2026

Edition 2 · §9

Exceptions

Ask in advance. Approval must be explicit. Until the Accountability Partner approves it, the original requirement stays in effect, and approval changes only the requirements it names.

How it works

  • I ask the Accountability Partner before the requirement is due, normally at least 24 hours ahead, naming the requirement, the dates, what I’m asking to change, why, and how I’ll catch up.
  • An emergency that couldn’t be foreseen can be reported afterwards, when it’s safe. Inconvenience, embarrassment or a reading I don’t like is not an exception.
  • The Accountability Partner approves, approves with conditions, or denies. Asking is not approval.
  • An approved exception can prevent a violation. It never counts as something done: an excused weigh-in is not a weight, and it interrupts the completion streak.
  • A safety stop never waits for approval.
